nice

an interesting track. i like the I-iv-I progression over the tonic bass you got going. the stereo panning on the hi-hats works as well. this would go great as music for a video game kinda has a happy quality to it that i like. the fast 16th notes are cool too. good stuff.

granted, it wasn't quite finished then... thanks for the re-review though; according to your ratings, it has been improved. Improvement is good.

nice

cool song. i liked the crescendoing with the guitar and the solos. a different snare couldve helped. or perhaps some reverb on the drums. but ya it seems like you got some skills with the guitar and for that you have my respect.

Quarl responds:

Ar, thanks for the review.

very nice

wow im glad i came to your page. this was a very nice piece. relaxing indeed. kind of reminded me a bit of Joe Hisaishi especially the soft piano. what program do you use if you don't mind me asking? the flute sounds were great. my only recommendation would be to try and make the piano less programmed sounding unless you are trying to get that video game style sound in which case it works.

anyhow, the first song i submitted is a classical one. id be interested in knowing what you think and if you have any ideas on how to finish it.

5/5!

MaestroRage responds:

I've never heard of Joe Hisaishi... but now I must find out who this artist is! I love landscape music like this, and if he does the same, then i'm totally there!

I use Fruity Studio's for my compositions, however the sounds you are hearing have nothing to do with Fruity (which serves only as a host program), the sounds you are hearing are VST's, from East West that is pretty much a library of high quality samples.

The piano does sound programmed, I had to use a rather lower quality one as I don't have the RAM to host all these instruments plus the 400MB piano :(

I'll definitely check out your submission.

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

good

i liked this a lot. really smooth, relaxing guitar playing. good recording too.

Tancrisism responds:

Thanks a lot.

Wow I'm glad I found your page. You're like a hidden gem or something. Anyhow, I listened to a few of your songs and I have to say I enjoyed all of them. I like how you don't just focus on one style kinda like what I do. What program do you use? Be sure to check out my stuff if you have time.

curriemaster responds:

Hey Nostrap,

Thanks for the kind words :). I use Cubase exclusively to record audio/MIDI, mix and master. I have indeed checked out your stuff and left a review (I think). Thanks again for the review!

wow

some really good instrumentation here. maybe it could be the theme for some zombie shooter game. anyhow, there was a lot of interesting sounds and i loved the orchestral type sounds mixed with glitching. check out some of my stuff if you have time. peace.

Stealth-Emergence responds:

Thanks for the review Nostrap

reviewed back at ya too!

Peace Out!

nice

i really enjoyed this. that one kick drum fill where it slows down then speeds up is awesome. i tried to figure it out but couldnt cause it was so fast. im guessing its 32's-16's-8's-16's but maybe there was some triplets. anyhow, the guitar riffs were sicka. are you in a band? hit me back. peace.

jarrydn responds:

Correct!

I think. It's been a while since I looked at the midi, but that sounds about right ;D

I'm in a band, but I'm not playing this kind of stuff...I doubt I could write a whole cd of it :P

Thanks for the review, muchos appreciated!

nice

the intro kind of reminded me of that song "i got five on it" for some reason. anyhow, excellent establishment of atmosphere right from the beginning. i could definitely see this in game. if you would check out some of my stuff i would appreciate it. peace.

SolusLunes responds:

Of course I'll stop by and check out your music!

Never heard of the "I got 5 on it" song though... anyways... check out some of my older stuff, that's where the awesome is concentrated at :D

nice

it was good, but the melody line kinda just seemed like random notes put into a sequencer. maybe some more rhythmical variation wouldve helped instead of just strait 8ths and 16ths. the song had no groove since everything was playing like a metronome. good synth sounds though. anyhow, be sure to hit me back. peace.

Everlasting-Elements responds:

Yeah man, no doubt. I'll hit you back when I get some time. Thanks for the review

Wow

that was simply amazing. how are you doing this at the age of 13. you are a prodigy or something.

aspachi responds:

my reasons: i've been practicing, anyways if i love fantasy music so much why don't i make some with the best affects i can? plus using "master generator" helps me out it fixes some problems with my music as if it is microsoft word. thaanks for your review. ^-^
