good

man i like that piano sound real big sounding. i would love to hear some vocals over this like maybe something like postal service. the only suggestions i have is maybe change the sound of the muted guitar thing and turn down the distorted synth.

Gregathol responds:

There we go! An actual review! Yeah I agree it needs some more mastering and maybe a change on the guitar thing. I dont know about vocals, I'm not sure how I'd do that, but definitly concidering.

loved it

this was really cool. i liked how you were able to combine so many different musical ideas into one piece and do it with seamless transitions. the only thing i didn't like was how often the drums went back to a basic beat. it was just a little too much. however, i am really impressed by the drums overall. that was some insane programming. well, good luck. i cant wait to hear the finished product.

Holy Shit

This was so good it literally gave me blue ballz. And by that I mean I need to hear some more music. Keep up the good work this is simply awesome.

Good

Dont worry bout what blackplastic said, I remix my own songs all the time. Its fun and helps you improve as a songwriter. The production and sounds in this song were all good but what needed work was the arrangement. I find that starting a song off with the bass just by itself rarely works. If you are going to do an intro like that I would suggest starting higher up in the harmonic range such as a midrange sound. A bass usually wont grab someone's attention unless it is supporting a melody. So ya, thats my two cents. Hope I could help.

zerofalse responds:

hey man, thanx. im glad i remixed this song and made it sound better.but still, i could always improve.. there's not such thing as perfection in my opnion. about that bass.. yeah in the back on my mind i was thinking about the into and how i could possibly make it better. im glad you pointed it out because now i can see those little imperfections about my music. thanx for the review! and advice =)

Omg

wow that was the coolest song ive heard in a long time. haha intelligent dance music. i had no idea anyone made it but i must say i enjoyed this quite a bit. what program do you use to do the beat chopping? god that was awesooome. ok im just rambling. anyhow, please check out my stuff if you get a chance.

LJCoffee responds:

Hi there!

For chopping things up I usually use a combination of Reaktor 5 and Acid Pro 6 - I'm glad you liked this one. I'll stop by your page in a bit and see what you've got.

Thanks for the review, now go tell a few other people about it! :D

Interesting

The sounds in the beginning were amazing and the piano improv with the crescendos was really cool. DLed and 5vd.

-thank you!

Crazy Good

Wow from the very beginning with the congas and pad I could tell this piece would be awesome. It got even more awesome when the drums kicked in.

Excellent

Good job on this. Very flowing and emotional. I think it would be great for a sad or triumphant part of a movie. I also like how well you led into each new movement. A few chord progressions could have been changed but other than that I enjoyed it.

No1r responds:

Hi Nostrap!
Well this was meant as soundtrack for a dream i had some years ago ^^ Maybe stupid but that's it. Thanks for listening and reviewing.

Wow

Amazing playing and composing! You really are a virtuoso!

First off, the piano sounds absolutely fantastic. Excellent job recording. I would love to know how you did it.

I really liked the melody line in the beginning. Emotive and dark, yet never too predictable.

The break in the middle was nice. I only wish it could have came sooner and was a little longer.

I think the strongest part of this piece is just how well you play it. The dynamics and the timing are just dead on. Good work. By the way, you are one of my favorite artists here. Keep it up!

DavidOrr responds:

I'm no virtuoso, but I am improving as time goes on, so perhaps one day I could be considered one (I doubt that though). I may upload some other piano works, considering people seem to be interested in my piano side.

Glad you love my music, it's always a great feeling to see people support what I do. Thanks for the great review!

heh

this made me laugh. i would probably go crazy if i had to hear this loop for more than a minute though.
